Imperial Citadel of Thang Long covers a total area of 18,395 hectares and consists of the 18 Hoang Dieu archaeological site and remaining vestiges such as Hanoi Flagpole, Doan Mon Gate, Kinh Thien Palace, D67 House, Hau Lau, Bac Mon, surrounding walls and eight entrance gates of the Nguyen Dynasty.

Imperial Citadel of Thang Long is a relic complex associated with the history of Thang Long Citadel. This is a grandiose architectural work that was built by different kings throughout many historical periods. Until now, it is considered to be the most important relic in the system of Vietnamese monuments. Here, archaeologists have unearthed a large number of pottery and porcelain products that were used as daily utensils in the palace over many periods.
